Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Betsy Boone joined MCBS in July 2019. She has over 20 years of management experience in the healthcare industry in the areas of Medical Billing and Patient Care. Betsy joined The United States Army in 2004. While serving our country, Betsy went on to study Nursing and Healthcare Management. Betsy holds an MBA and MHA from the University of Texas. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, as well as The Wounded Warrior Project Augusta Chapter. Betsy’s role at MCBS is to plan, develop, and implement a new systematic approach to maximize revenue and cash flow. She is responsible for redesigning processes and systems used to set charges, negotiating with third-party payers, billing patients and insurers, filing Medicare cost reports and claims, and managing denied claims and delinquent accounts. Additionally, she ensures the back-end revenue cycle management functions are aligned and optimized to maximize timely collections, enhance the use of technology for greater efficiency, improve staff productivity, and minimize the cost of the collection process.
